Irish Oranges

In the autumn of 1945, the state of Ireland starts an extraordinary aid program, which saves more than 1,000 children from starvation, children from war-torn areas in France, Germany and Austria. Those children stay in Irish host families up to three years and afterwards go back home. Some stay forever.

Irish Oranges tells the unknown story of the so-called Operation Shamrock, which had unforeseen consequences for the children it had rescued. Five of them look back in time.
