Mandy is an experienced filmmaker and exec producer and is creative director of Undeniable Productions. She has a broad perspective of the documentary field, having taken on many roles in her career. As Fremantle’s Head of Global Documentaries, she created their new documentary division, whilst also developing and producing her own slate of feature documentaries such as Devo, Buckley and Two Strangers: Trying not to Kill Eachother. Mandy has a reputation for working with the world’s best filmmakers and for nurturing new talent. She ran Storyville – the BBC’s flagship international documentary strand, and was responsible for critically acclaimed, award-winning documentary features and series like Collective, Welcome to Chechnya, Roll Red Roll, The Mole: Infiltrating North Korea, Writing with Fire, Misha and the Wolves, The Mole Agent, Fourth Estate and Corridors of Power. She built on the strand’s breadth and diversity, supporting upcoming global talent and provocative, distinctive films. Her career began as an award-winning filmmaker, making challenging, films like The Mona Lisa Curse, which won many awards including an International Emmy. She is committed to the industry, mentoring young filmmakers, speaking out on the state of documentary and contributing to many festivals and forums.
