Maria Camila Ariza Tarazona
Maria Camila began her studies at the Industrial University of Santander, from which she holds a BSc in Petroleum Engineering. She completed an MSc. in Sustainable Processes at the Autonomous University of Nuevo León. Maria Camila is currently a 3rd-year Materials Science Ph.D. student at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. Her research focuses on the degradation of microplastics in aquatic environments through a photocatalytic process. Thanks to the sustainability focus of her research, she received the Green Talents Award granted by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research. During her Ph.D., she has been a visiting researcher at the Almeria Solar Platform and the Technical University of Dresden.
