Shreya Dhame

Shreya is a postdoctoral scientist at the Max Planck Institute for Meteorology in Hamburg, Germany.
Her research focuses on understanding the large-scale interactions of the atmosphere and ocean. She uses satellite observations and large climate model ensembles to study the causes of spatial and temporal patterns of ocean heat uptake and their consequences, for example, in how they interact
with atmospheric feedbacks. She is also interested in estimating the human-induced (or forced) and un-forced patterns of climate change using statistical methods. A direct implication of her research is  understanding and constraining climate sensitivity, and thereby increasing our ability to predict how
the climate will change in the near-future under a given radiative forcing.

She brings 6 years of experience in earth and climate sciences and holds a PhD from the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia and a masters from the Jawaharhal Nehru University in New Delhi, India.
