Yasemin, a woman from Turkey, kills her abusive husband in self-defence to save herself and her infant child. After enduring three years in prison, Yasemin seeks refuge in Switzerland, where she is granted landmark political asylum—the first instance globally for femicide. As she rebuilds her life, Yasemin transforms from a survivor into a prominent figure in the international feminist movement, deepening her bond with her son.
