Barbara Schmitz

I am the Deputy Head Documentation Department at WDR in Cologne. Before I joined this department four years ago, I spent ten years making documentaries for "die story", an investigative format on WDR and ARD. Since 2018 I have mainly been responsible for historical documentaries on Das Erste and ARTE. In 2019 we produced the very successful "Colonia Dignidad" documentary series for ARTE.
