Hazel Marshall
Hazel Marshall’s expertise in storytelling comes from her diverse background in the craft of shaping narratives in a wide range of factual genres across multiple platforms. Hazel’s career has spanned radio, TV and publishing. She spent almost two decades at the BBC, initially as a radio producer and then as a trainer designing and delivering story and script courses for factual television. She has produced live and pre-recorded radio series as well as winning radio features commissions and having her plays produced on Radio 4. Hazel published three children’s books before moving into factual TV. She has trained hundreds of programme and documentary makers at all stages in their careers across multiple genres. Hazel has also worked as a story consultant on numerous award winning series. She has delivered workshops and talks at media festivals in the UK and around the world, and continues to work as a story consultant, trainer and script writer for national broadcasters, SVoDs, independent production companies and individual film-makers as well as working on her own projects.
