Katharina Ramskogler is since 2019 a PhD-student in a subproject of an interdisciplinary research project dealing with vegetation development in high alpine environments due to climate change and interaction processes between vegetation and morphodynamic processes. The key research areas of the PhD are population and vegetation biology, vegetation modelling, landscape modelling, glacier foreland, climate change. Furthermore, Katharina is interested in science communication.

Katharina Ramskogler did her Master of Science in Botany at the University of Innsbruck with the key research areas population and vegetation biology (2015 and 2017) and the Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Innsbruck (2012-2015). Before starting with the PhD, she started the master study in ecology at the University of Innsbruck with the key research area in landscape ecology (2018-2019). Previous to her studies she was working as a nurse (1997-2017).
