Roman Blazhan

Roman Blazhan is a director and producer based in Kyiv, Ukraine. Born in Donetsk, he first pursued a career in energy trading and finance. After the Russo-Ukrainian war started he lost his home, became disillusioned with his career and decided to restart from scratch, finding passion in film. His documentary short, Enter Through the Balcony, was selected to 15 festivals worldwide and won three awards. Roman Blazhan has been working as a local producer for multiple projects by PBS (PBS.org) and Frontline since 2018. This includes work on the documentary film The Facebook Dilemma (2018).
