Sandra Trostel

Sandra Trostel is an independent filmmaker, digital storyteller and researcher based in Hamburg, Germany. The central subject of her work is the analysis of current and future social developments through the artistic examination of aspects of human interaction, with a particular focus on the effects of digitalization. Depending on the topic, she uses different media and forms. 
Her works have been presented at international festivals, in cinemas, on television and in exhibitions and have been awarded various prizes.
She is also involved in theater projects and performances, leads workshops, gives lectures on her work and teaches at various colleges and universities.
Together with Thies Mynther, she founded the production company Fairy Bot, which is dedicated to the use of moving images, musical and performative means in the digital and physical world through cross-media, transgressive narrative forms.
