Sasha Djurkovic

Sasha is a BAFTA nominated, and a Grierson and RTS award-winning documentary Producer – Director. She has an instinct for the story and a sharp eye for detail, often filming with vulnerable people in very challenging situations over a long period of time.

For the last 20 years, she has worked for BBC, Channel 4, ITV, and Al Jazeera, making nearly 30 films (series, single films and shorts).

Currently, she is writing, producing and directing a historical series about Josip Broz Tito, a late Yugoslav president. It’s LOOKS Films production for ARTE in Germany and ORF in Austria, which is due to air in 2026.

Originally from Sarajevo, Sasha came to London in 1995 where she gained her BA in Media Arts at Royal Holloway University of London and MA at the National Film and Television School. She lives in London.
