On the 7th of July in 1941, a Swiss-German colony, belonging to a religious sect, was murdered by the police in Cotito, over the hills in Panama. Many rumors surrounded the colony and the real cause of this massacre: that they belonged to the 5th Nazi column, that they were run-away Jews or the most common version that they were religious fanatics against the rules established by the Panamanian authorities. The story of this crime is being investigated through the subjective gaze of Albert Schmieder, the last survivor of the massacre.
