Away from his community, Jorge García, a Garífuna musician and dancer, representing an ethnic minority in Central America, is forced to adapt to a new culture by reinventing the art and memory of his ancestors in the capital of Honduras. Jorge creates "Black Drum" an independent and experimental Garífuna cultural project. His songs are in his own language and talk about the struggle of his people, touch important issues such as the conflict of the ancestral lands, the nostalgia of the Garífuna migrant in the capital, the exodus to the United States, poverty, marginalization and death.
