The book “Hitler Mati di Indonesia” (Hitler died in Indonesia) is a bestseller in the country. Many Indonesians actually believe that Hitler went into hiding in Indonesia after the war. His tomb in Surabaya is a popular destination. Sonny and his friends also visit the site often. Mostly in Nazi uniforms, because afterwards they will meet hundreds of fellow Hitler fans for a so-called Blitzkrieg weekend. They would never see themselves as having a political or even neo-Nazi stance. They are driven by a vague fascination for the Nazi era. But will Sonny and his friends still like the Nazis when confronted with the Holocaust? To find out, we follow them on a unique journey that traces Hitler’s tracks across Indonesia via Berlin to Auschwitz.
