Russian Like No Other

Francois has been living in Russia for over 25 years. He graduated from university to be a doctor, but could not find a job after the collapse of the USSR and moved to a village. There, he became one of the first new Russian farmers and has been developing his project of potato cultivation for 15 years. On one hand, our film is a vibrant story of an African with a complicated fate: he found a new homeland in Russia and was able to become a true citizen of this vast country. On the other hand, it is an ironic picture of the rural life of a dreamer with big plans and ideas, often faced by small but unsolvable obstacles.
