When Tashi met Jodie... is an intimate portrait of two young friends, Tashi and Jodie, who break free from the constraints of social expectations in favour of seeking out a deeper purpose and meaning in their lives. Jodie an outspoken English national and Tashi, a middle class Mumbai urbanite, establish a NGO with the goal of tackling India’s garbage crisis. As the NGO grows, so to do the problems which threaten to wreck their goals and friendship. As their ambitious scheme start to conflict with the harsh realities of modern India they find themselves facing bankruptcy. Unless they can adapt to this harsh reality, they stand to lose the NGO, their friendship and the new lives they have struggled to build for themselves.
