The Man I'm Looking For

The man of today is supposed to be a 24-hour dad, but also successful in his job. No wonder many get confused. At least, that’s how I got confused. Sometimes I think that I cannot fulfill the different and sometimes ambivalent roles that I’m facing in my partnership, my family and modern society. My story starts with my girlfriend and my daughter challenging me: What is the role of men in the 21st century? Do we need a certain role? I will take a very personal look behind the facades and reveal assumptions about who we are as men. The film addresses complex issues relevant to many men of my age, but they are discussed too often only superficially. I visit my father, my friends and a therapist to question them. Finally, I realize that I need to go far to get closer to an answer.
