Five Pills Away

ABORTION IS OK is a film that follows three rebellious women in Poland, who will not be stopped by threats of persecution nor by anti-choice propaganda hate in fighting for their rights. It is a story of female solidarity and sisterhood.

In 2018, a cover of the biggest women’s magazine in Poland caused a national outcry. It showed three women smiling. The title said: “You are not alone. 1 in 3 women you know had an abortion”. These women were members of The Abortion Dream Team. They wore T-Shirts that said: “Abortion is OK”. We follow this team when they assist women with the abortion process and we ask what is the psychological price they pay for being committed to destigmatizing abortion.
