Almond Blossoms

After their mentor Juliano Mer Khamis was murdered three young Palestinian actors are carrying on his heritage: Eyad Hourani, Faisal Abu Alhayjaa and Mo'min Swaitat are Juliano's almond blossoms. The Palestinian-Israeli actor and theatre director Juliano Mer Khamis encouraged young Palestinians to criticise the Israeli state as well as the Palestinian Authority. Together they created resistance with theatre and art. Juliano was shot dead in Jenin in 2011 and his murder remains unsolved until today. All three of his students are still working as actors and speak up about their home country that steers towards a third and violent Intifada in their art. They refuse to accept that Juliano's voice was silenced and try to get an understanding of what killed their mentor back in Jenin.
