In a series of 9 short documentaries, ME, MY HAIR & I explores identity, politics and economics, all gravitating around hair. Janna, Ruby and Philipp are only three of the protagonists who share their deeply personal stories of love, loss and longing, of shame and pride, of despair and hope, of humiliation and empowerment, of fitting into or defying cultural and social norms and expectations. From Europe to Africa to America to Asia, these norms may vary. The problem of matching them stays the same.
