The Season

The project is to film the life of the opera house through one full season, going through the rehearsals, the training, the performances, focusing a range of musicians from different background who have different points of view, visions, purposes and motivations. It is important to underline that due to the low income provided by Opera for their employees, those musicians need to work in low standard commercial bands in order to survive. This is something unusual that we need to show. I will follow for an entire season the evolution of the Opera by filming those precious and unknown moments. Through this project, I want to underline the dilemma between the need of developing Arts in developing countries and the fact that Arts are not a priority and still reserved for an Elite.
