Marcel Seehuber
Marcel Seehuber (1976) studied cinematography at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. As cinematographer as well as director he was involved in several award-winning short and feature documentaries. In the late 2000´s he and friends initiated and built up a cooperative house project in his hometown Altötting, also to reduce the own ecological footprint. There he also is part of the city council, elected in May 2020. Since more than four years Marcel Seehuber is researching about the topic of population growth and resource consumption. He is convinced, that our ability to change our way of life, and to steadily reduce the size of our population, will determine the quality of our future on this planet. Driven by his strong love for this planet and its beings, the film shall be his contribution to bring the question ‘How many people can live – sustainably – on earth?’ out of the darkness of social taboos. Important to mention, that his political and social standpoint is unapologetic towards rightwing propaganda like ‘In Africa they have too many children’.
