Dani Carlaw

At Screen Scotland (Scotland’s National Screen Organisation) Head of Unscripted  - Dani Carlaw is supporting the growth of the unscripted film and TV sector; from early-stage talent development, all the way through to supporting producers and production companies with the funding of theatrical documentaries, TV single programmes, series, and slates of projects, both at the development and production stage. 

Recent Theatrical Documentary films supported: TISH, Opening Gala Film Sheffield Doc Fest 2023, IS THERE ANYBODY OUT THERE? World Premiere Sundance 2023, MERKEL World Premiere Telluride 2022, MY OLD SCHOOL, World Premiere Sundance 2022. 

In TV Unscripted, Dani has instigated several broadcast partnership initiatives; Sky Documentaries, BBC Two Factual, Channel 4 Factual, Channel 4 Entertainment, and Channel 4 Daytime. Dani is also an active member of the BAFTA Scotland Committee, serving across the last two years. 

Prior to Screen Scotland, Dani’s credits include Grierson, Banff Rockie and BAFTA Scotland award winning documentaries - as a director of specialist factual. Dani was also a series producer across unscripted.
