Niobe Thompson
Sundance winner and double Emmy-nominated Canadian filmmaker Niobe Thompson’s documentaries reach back to our human origins, explore the mysteries of evolution, and tackle the environmental dilemmas of the Anthropocene. Following the 2022 doc "Carbon - The Unauthorised Biography", he directed the feature "Hunt for the Oldest DNA", which premiered this year at CPH:DOX and on PBS. A three-time winner of Canada’s most prestigious award for science and nature documentaries - the Rob Stewart Award for Best Science and Nature Program - Niobe is the founder of British-Columbia based Handful of Films.
