The rise of digital distribution is reshaping traditional revenue streams, while social media and alternative distribution channels offer new opportunities for storytelling and audience connection.
The Industry Training Talks at DOK.fest Munich 2025, organised in partnership with Documentary Campus and Bayerischer Rundfunk (BR) will take place from 9-10 May at HFF.
The event will provide an in-depth look into the rapidly evolving world of documentary filmmaking by featuring a series of lectures, panels, case studies, and interactive sessions, and bring together industry professionals to discuss the latest strategies and innovations in formats, financing, distribution and audience building.

As the world navigates rapid change, what role do documentaries play in 2025? A bold documentary filmmaker explores the challenges and opportunities for filmmakers, highlighting the power of storytelling to inform, inspire, and uplift audiences in uncertain times.
